1943 April 7 - Natalia Trotsky to Henry

Probably in a futile attempt to avoid the censor, this letter had no return address, and was addressed to an unknown person in Chicago, Hank Weitling, probably a little used alias for Henry. The postmark was Coyoacan. The signature is Natalia. The young fellow referred to is Seva, Trotsky's grandson. Walter was the guard at the compound, Walter O'Rourke. He wrote a handful of articles for the Socialist papers of the day. Henry was working on the dock in Chicago, in February, outside, all day, complaining about the cold and snow. All I can say about the rat with the bell, is that in his notes, Henry bought rat poison more than once during his employment at the compound.
